1. Introduction

Welcome to PackReady ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. PackReady: Travel Packing List is designed as an offline-first travel packing assistant. This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding data collection, processing, and storage when you use our mobile application.

2. Offline-First Architecture & No Registration

We believe your personal travel data should remain yours. PackReady does not require you to create an account, register, or log in to use any services. All data created or entered by you, including:

• Trip destinations and custom travel dates
• Checklist categories, packing items, and custom categories
• Traveler companion profiles (e.g. Partner, Child, Friend assignments)
• Travel booking notes and flight details

is saved locally on your device using encrypted/secure local storage boxes (Hive database). We do not operate cloud databases for user content, and we do not collect, store, or transmit your packing checklists or traveler details to any remote servers.

3. Weather Forecast Integration (Open-Meteo)

To help you pack correctly based on weather forecasts, the app allows you to query live weather. When you tap "Get Weather Forecast":

• The app sends the latitude and longitude coordinates of your selected trip destinations to the Open-Meteo Geocoding and Forecast API.
• No personally identifiable details, account information, or custom checklist items are transmitted during these requests.
• Open-Meteo processes these coordinate requests anonymously to return daily temperature limits, wind speeds, and rain probabilities.

4. Advertising Integration (Google AdMob)

For users on our Free plan, PackReady implements banner and interstitial ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob):

• Test Ad Unit IDs: The app is configured to deliver standard Google test ad units.
• Data Collection: The AdMob SDK may collect and process anonymous device data, such as unique advertising identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID), IP addresses, and diagnostic information to facilitate ad delivery and prevent fraud, in accordance with Google's Developer Policy.
• Premium users have all advertisements removed entirely, which disables AdMob SDK tracking callbacks.

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

PackReady offers a premium subscription model (Monthly and Yearly tiers):

• Testing/Mock billing: During the testing and Closed Testing reviewer phases, the app utilizes a mock purchase service. Clicking upgrade triggers a simulated checkout layer. No real monetary transactions or financial details are processed.
• Google Play Billing: When officially deployed on the Google Play Store, standard subscriptions will route securely through Google Play In-App Billing APIs. We do not store, process, or have access to your credit card, bank details, or transactional records. All transactions are securely handled directly by Google Play.

6. Security

Since your information is stored entirely on your device's local memory, the security of your travel lists depends on the security of your device. We recommend securing your mobile device with password protection, PINs, or biometrics to prevent unauthorized access to your offline data boxes.
